2007 a repeat of 2004? Things seem to be taking shape for another big year for Prince:
A big tour. Superbowl. A new album. An Oscar. 2004 all over again?

My guess is it will be a big year, but not as big as 2004. I think it will be something like 2002 - lots of small-venue gigs, great for his core fan base, but not particularly a huge mainstream push. The band/show he seems to be doing is great for small-venues, but not great "stadium" stuff in my opinion. Just my thoughts... Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Well, for their article on the halftime show, Billboard.com said that "sources" told them that 2007 would be a big year for Prince "in the studio and on the road", though the mag's website wouldn't confirm just what that might entail.
But yes, the Super Bowl Halftime, like his performance at the Grammys, seems designed to strategically catapault him into millions of living rooms on s big stage once again, and one can only hope at the very least that at least a full tour will soon follow.
