Okay, I guess I just have the post x-mas blues and I’m bored.

So I’m gonna post something probably useless but it will rid me of my boredom for now.


I would like to find out why so many people here on the org try to analyze Prince’s psyche and every little move he makes.

Why so many people start shouting and screaming before something actually takes place? For instance about the Vegas gigs! There was a lot animosity before he even sang one note on that stage. I don’t think anyone except the man itself knows why he decides to make a certain move. Although some people here think they know him better than he knows himself. Some think that he is in a dark place right now and has lost touch with all reality. Are you sure you’re not just talking about yourself?



I don’t know the guy, I know of him and I happen to love a lot of the stuff he puts out. And of course am I interested in some of the trivia but what really matters to me is the music.

The Org is a great place and it’s good to discuss his music etc. But what’s there to gain if you try to get in to his psyche? You’ll not get in (unless he’s got a shrink and you are it)

I guess everyone has a right to their opinion on the matter at hand. But I know what you mean, some folks here act like they know what's best for Prince, and at times fail to realize that he's a grown man who makes his own decisions and you can either agree or disagree with it, but that's really it. It's like when he has private parties, you have some people actually getting upset over it, as if Prince needs their permission to throw a party and with who. Or like the Vegas thing, it was normal to support or not support it. But some folks were predicting the end of his career, because they just KNEW this was a mistake-----well...they quiet now ain't they.

I often wonder what the hell is going on with people who try to analyze Prince like they reeeallly know him. It's one thing to analyze the music and his lyrics, because after all, I thought we are here because of the music. But you have those interesting individuals that swear that he's drowning or hanging by a rope, or what have you, then when I ask them to provide some evidence of this, they respond with retarded bullshit in a pathetic attempt to cover up the fact that they don't have any evidence.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's fun, reading both positive and critical comments, after all, Prince is a fascinating individual, who does seem to contradict himself, and when you have only one side of the story, all we can do is speculate, which again, can be fun.

But I've seen some real off the wall stuff written here, which tells me that the things people say, is more of a reflection of problems/issues people have going on within themselves.

I'll admit that I'm here because of the music, and whatever emotions I develop is from the musical experience, but you have some that have involved their emotions with Prince over some imaginary relationship that only exist in their head.

Heck, I barely know what's best for me @ times!!! I just enjoyed the communication with other orgers who share a common interest ( Prince) with me...Happy New Year EVERYone..yeah , I know it's a little early, but wtheck...

I think those that analyze him are just enjoy analyzing people and things in general and Prince is a facinating person anyway so it's probably not odd that so many of his fans would happen to be these types of people.

First of all your thread is a good one so thanks for bringing it up. Second I like this site because not a lot of people know the useless knowledge that we all know about P, it's great to finally "meet" or at least communicate with them. As far as knowing his psyche I think a lot of what you stated is common sense for a lot of people who have well rounded life. I mean of course you can't know what's really going on with him in his mind but as you pointed it out a lot of people act like they can. As far as the postive point of this site I do feel there are some very funny and intelligent people who give real opinions about princely issues. My favorite threads are the ones that acutally have some truth but people put a funny twist on them. Anyways I agree with most of what you said but I think it goes without saying. For those that heed that advice I don't pay them much mind.

I cant neither understand my psyche so Im not interested in that one of Prince...

I think they try to dissect Prince like a Frog in a lab because they're stupid!
