Prince beginning of new revolution How many people on here think that our Purple one will blow this stuff up after the SuperBowl party/jam? Just a question. Are we in store for a new album and tour or what?

The timing is perfect. It would be a brilliant career move. Therefore, no.

Shut it!!! I've got the feeling 2007 is going to be thee Prince year, we'll be talking about for generations to come! When we're old(er) and we've got our grand babies all gathered around the fire place, we'll be telling them of what's about to go down with the fondest of memories! Y'all mofo's have seen how much Prince loves the #7!! And his ONLY competition, the truest funk solider of them all, Mr. James Brown (bow your head and raise your fist, when you say his name!) has gone on to glory, leaving funk's legacy up for grabs! Shiiiit, it's about to go down and the funk's about to hit the fan! Welcome To The Dawn!!!!!

prince tends to make insanely bad career choices he really needs management in the worst way. [Edited 12/27/06 6:34am] Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Prince needs a big bootie spanking. That, and a thorough rodgering.
(meant to be said in the thickest cauckney accent you can muster. Ie...Stewie from Family Guy) He'd probably enjoy the spanking. Anybody ever listen to 'Papa'? [Edited 12/27/06 8:09am] "Plaid shorts are completely over."

I really dont care. All I want is a kick ass music performance. Like the RRHOF, the SNL 2006, etc.

Didn't we think that about 2006 around this time last year? I'd love it to be true, but I've not got much hope. I'd be very happy if 2007 proved me wrong, though.

Well, he's proven himself as the "comeback kid" in 2004.
He's back to his same old pattern of releasing an album and ignoring it a bit after the intitial release , but the fact of the matter is Prince 1997-2003 was far worse than the encarnation we are seeing now as far as public response and meida attention. His media attention is more or less positive compared to those years. So, I wouldn't put anything beyond him. I think he has the potential to reach millions and millions of folks who have forgotten he even makes music. I just wish he had a new album to promote with this performace. I wouldn't want him to look like he's walking the crowd through "hits of yesteryear".

If you listen to the second set of 'Smack! Oh, Papa,'s' one of them is definitely sexual! I know it disturbs me too!! "Plaid shorts are completely over."
