What if Prince's most notable WB albums were re-mastered with old outtakes?

I've been listening to the "Dirty Mind" album for a couple of weeks and can't help but marvel just how musical and groundbreaking this album is, especially when it was recorded when he was 22. As sparse as the record's instrumentation is this is indeed a turning point in his career which deserves to be re-issued with a special deluxe package with outtakes from this sessions, much needed re-mastering. This would mean alot more than the greatest hits collection that keep putting out. "Ultimate Prince" was decent but far from what it could be.

The only thing that would prevent these type of releases from happening is if P get his masters tapes back from WB, these outtakes would be edited for cursing or just thrown away altogether. My question is what will happen to his outtakes eventually?

I think most of 'em will stay where he wants them: in the vault. I think Crystal Ball was a one-off to be honest...can't see him releasing a set of previously unreleased material again for quite a while.

You'd be hard pushed to find any one here who didn't want remasters and official outtake releases.

No-one knows (unless we have psychic or time-travelling members here, and if we do, WHY haven't they piped up before? mad )

I also wish he would re-remaster and released them. He's so funky and prolific.
