That was spoken just like a man that has laid in his bed night after night obsessing over the question " Why does Prince get more p@ssy than me?" Finally, Eureka! There must be something wrong with Prince and them b@tches, not me! I'm gonna tell them that in my next sermon... and there you have it.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.

Wow, what a reduction you're trying. This former calypso singer is also an accomplished violinist and consistent proponent of doing for self instead of asking for hand-outs.

But, your attitude is not one of surprise--hardly. lol

No less of a damn "reduction" than his stating that the reason lesbianism is up is because Prince likes the color purple, is fine as hell and women only want him because we want ourselves. rolleyes

Well, if that's what you took from what he said, then that fact alone speaks volumes for itself.

Wow. That is sad. Everyone leaves out poor Little Richard.

Also his logic is a bit skewed. "For every Boy George there's a George Bush"? Well, by that line of reasoning, he could have put Michael Jordan into the equation. Did he even mention all the men that liked these men?

Anyway, he seemed more threatened than anything else.

Minister Farakhan has went too far with the put down of these musicians especially Prince.First of all Minister Farakahan should be the 1st to talk;does he realize what people say and think of him?I think he's a hypocrite! Like most Celebrities have a style they lean to, prince wearing purple does not signify that he's gay!I guess, like someone else said-Let me shut up cuz I have nothing nice to say about that man or is he a man? lol

How is it that you formulate Minister Farrakhan as a hypocrite (one who says one thing and does another that goes against what was previously said)?

As for the "is he a man" comment....pleeez.

What's strange is Farrakhan speaks with a slight lisp and I believe some people that judge based upon how some people look and talk. They would believe Farrakhan is GAY!!

All that he is preaching is to JUDGE based upon the way people LOOK! SAME BACK AT YOU URKLE!!!

Actually, the earliest sources of the color purple or tyrian purple is from the Minoan culture and Alexander the Great made references to it when he visited Macedonia. No where have I ever read that it was "developed" on the continent of Africa. Sources?

I find it interesting that he attacks Stevie Wonder for wearing braids - something that was perpetuated by numerous tribesmen in Africa. In fact, numerous indigenous tribes have perpetuated the use of braids and beads in their hair.

Androgyny has existed in different forms all throughout history. There is a tribe in the Niger region of Africa who have a ceremony where they dress up as women and the women get to choose who they want to be with from this bunch. It's actually very beautiful ceremony and quite harmless. If you look at the period of the 17th Century Europe when men were more prettier than women. If you look at the bird kingdom, you find most often that the male birds have the prettiest plumage. The bottom line -- who gives a rat's ass? Give us a pretty man and we chicks will dig 'em. The male bird with the best cock show wins.

Sinister Minister Farrakhan simply sounds like an ignoramous (as he usually does) and has no facts to back up his bitchings and moanings other than his own prejudices and the other prejudices of the uneducated.

He's like the Kanye West of religious world - the only way he can get any attention is by the controversy he causes. Yeah, there may be a small element of truth to what he says and then the next thing that comes out his mouth just cancels it out. My advice to him is lose the bowtie, grow some dreds, get some contacts and buff up and I'll guarante he won't have time to bitch about how pretty Prince is. NEXT!

I find it interesting that he attacks Stevie Wonder for wearing braids - something that was perpetuated by numerous tribesmen in Africa. In fact, numerous indigenous tribes have perpetuated the use of braids and beads in their hair.

AFTER COLONIALISTS INVADED THE CONTINENT, QUITE A FEW TRADITIONS WERE 'STARTED' BY NUMEROUS TRIBESMAN IN AFRICA. NOT MANY AFRICANS WEAR BRAIDS TODAY. ACTUALLY, IT'S VIEWED--IN COUNTRIES IN AFRICA--AS A 'GIRL' THING.

Androgyny has existed in different forms all throughout history. Another thing, just because you haven't read where something else was said about the purple color other than a reference that Alexander the great (right) made, does not make what he said correct. It just makes you ignorant of the history of the color purple.

I'm not fighting with you and I can be wrong, okay, so I'm not going there. I just asked for sources because I was interested. I am interested in all sources of color purple. Not much is known. Perhaps I didn't word it right, but what I have found is it beginning in the Minoan culture.

The rest of what I said about LF was not directed at you and I"m not going to get into a pissing contest about who's more intelligent. I'm out.

put this in perspective.

1. This speech was made in 1985 and was called The Color Purple re: the movie that depicted African American men in a very negative light. The musicians were not the point.

2. Since, Minister Farrakhan has spoken lovingly about Prince and Michael, and has encouraged us all to support the brothers. Prince has donated to the world reknown "millions" marches and to Spike Lee's film Malcolm X about the Minister's mentor.

3. Little Richard said he found that when he wore make up in segregated, racist, nightclubs, white people were far more receptive and far less racist towards him and his crew. Songs like Uptown, New Power Generation and I Rock Therefore I Am make Prince's position clear on the subject.

4. First it was extreme andorgeny, now its extreme thuggin. 2 sides of the same coin? Prince and Michael vs Biggie and Tupac. One can make the argument that marketing Black genius as Black self hate is big business. We've been making lemonade since day one.

Dont start none - wont be none
