If Prince had a "70s" Night at Club 3121, What songs would you want him to play and DJ Rashida to spin from that era? Ok, let's have fun with this..if Prince did a "70s" Night at Club 3121, what music would you like him to play from that era, and have DJ Rashida spin that night?
It could be a mixture of Soul Train and Saturday Night Fever ...dress to impress night: (that's right, that means we dress up in 70s gear that night, including Prince and all his band members) What to wear? Bell bottoms, elephant pants, go-go boots, fringed vests, dashikis, hot pants, window pane and fishnet stockings, striped pants, bell sleeve, blouses and dresses, hip-huggers, empire dresses, polyester shirts (lots of polyester ) chain link and big belts, big afros and afro puffs, flip-up hairdos, bangles and beads, head bands, wedgy shoes, big clonky heel shoes for the men. It could be "Soul Train and Saturday Night Fever Night at Club 3121", now that would be fun. Prince could play 70s classics and DJ Rashida can spin them;and we could dance to 70s music all night long until Prince kicks us out of the club and sends us packing, but then again he did say "You can come, but you can never leave!" So let's make a list of artists/bands/songs you would like to hear from the "70s" era if this was to happen! Ohio Players Con Funk Shun Kool and the Gang Mary Jane Girls Rick James The Brothers Johnson Chic Cameo Sly & The Family Stone James Brown George Clinton & Parliament Wild Cherry Average White Band B.T. Express Mandrill Bee Gees War Tower of Power ----- A 70s party quote:"Oh no..I see polyester..lots and lots of it... " [Edited 12/27/06 11:00am]

The Ojays Jackson 5 The Isley Bros. Curtis Mayfield To name a few. Prince is always saying how he digs Tower of Power. I wonder how comes he never sings You're Still A Young Man??? That's my jam right there! Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I'd like to hear him do "I Feel Love" and "Last Dance" by Donna Summer. I'd love to hear him do his thing with those songs. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Boston - Long Time < Listen 2 Boston and you will hear the same guitar sounds as Prince playing. I think Boston influenced Prince a bit.

Definitely have to put James Brown's name on that list. It is sad that we lost him but will never forget his music as it will definitely live on. This is why it is so important to honor our music legends. He will surely be missed. RIP.
