Prince.org has made me realize how sickening i must have been to my friends my whole life worshiping Prince! its nice to like an artist but its not good to make them your whole musical world like i did at one point and some do here from the "picture of Prince's feet" threads to people actually thinking "song of the heart" deserves an oscar! i'm glad prince.org has made me see the light and my friends thank you

I was the same once; not only with Prince but with Michael Jackson before that. I realised how STUPID I was actually being and now i like sooo many different things. It can be quite sickening being on here and seeing people talk about Prince as if he can do no wrong!!

i was a fan until he went to Vegas.....but since i live there too....i am now a bigger fan and people at work think i'm gay

but oh well.....their loss

I don't get it. I have been an avid fan since 1978. And I never pushed my enjoyment of him on others(unless they were fans also and then it's fair game to rant on and on about which songs are great and which ones suck).

But to constantly be talking about the guys feet, and balls, and well generally picking him apart is just ... creepy.

it's only stupid/sickening/ to you if that's how you feel about your situation.
and I don't think you should feel that way at all about how you used to be or what not....it's ok to be you in one stage of your life or another, I think it's great to recognize differences in your life as we grow but I think we should accept and embrace them as we do our love for snoopy or he-man or what ever it was we loved as children. No need to be embarrassed or to beat yourself up over your very valid feelings at one particular time or another.
Any "friend" would/should love you for your passions and never or at you over it.
