FYI Paradigm has been released As some of you may know, the song Paradigm was replaced by "We Can Funk" on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack. I had a copy of the track and really dug the tune but thought a crisp recording would never see the light of day.
Until stumbled upon George Clinton's recent album "How Late Do U Have 2BB4UR Absent?" on ITunes. It is still funky and clever on the word play. And Prince still sings back-up. Check out if you want. _________________________________________

Until stumbled upon George Clinton's recent album "How Late Do U Have 2BB4UR Absent?" on ITunes. It is still funky and clever on the word play. And Prince still sings back-up. Check out if you want. Its official release earlier this year was reported here at the time. The song was originally made available by George Clinton sold at his shows in 2001. (It was inevitably pirated for download around that time.) I've never seen any evidence that the song was written or recorded as far back as the '80s with the intention of it being released on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack. Do you have any evidence to support this? The Prince contribution has always been attributed to which very much suggests that it had neither been written nor recorded at the time you are suggesting. . I read somewhere that the song was recorded either 1995 or 1996. Most of the stuff on How Late... is taken over a 15 year period. But all that aside, I love the song, and really dig the album. And by the way, u're pretty late. The album's been out over a year now. Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

Gee, I apologize. I haven't heard of the song being released until I stumbled upon it several days ago. Now I know why I don't visit this site regular - some of you are ignorant and rude. _________________________________________

If you visit the site regularly, you learn about it circulating at George's concerts, read about its release being delayed on the double album for approximately 12 months, and hear about its appearanmce in stores. I don't think you are ignorant for not knowing it was released a while ago, although a quick check on somewhere like Wikipedia can tell about George's album releases:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w..._musician) and the official releae date in 2005: http://en.wikipedia.org/w..._Absent%3F But, going back to being ignorant, I'd still be interested to learn how you know that the track was recorded in the '80s and was intended for use, but ultimately replaced by 'We Can Funk', on Graffiti Bridge? . Maybe you are mistaken here. Noone attacks or is rude to you. I'm curious too how you think there is a relation with the GB album? Ich bin bei der Neue Kraft Bewegung

'Paradigm' is indeed on the 'HLDUH2BB4URA' album, which has been released for some time in the US, a little later in European territories.
Prior to the latest album, a limited run of 'Paradigm' twinned with another track was available at George Clinton concerts. As far as I'm aware 'Paradigm' was recorded in 1999 and was premiered live at the 'Rave 2000' concert. However, it did not make the cut for the DVD. 'Paradigm' certainly has the 'sound' of much of Prince's material of that time period and does not seem to originate from 'GB' unless it has been significantly re-worked. It is important to remember that the 'GB' sessions are not the only time Prince and George have worked together, and to my knowledge they have collaborated again much later than the 'GB' album. Peace.
