Yeah, the beats are kind of similar (iffy) and that high pitch synth is very similar. Overall the songs sound quite different IMO.

I wouldn't be suprised when this song was played before or after the GC gig and Prince picked it up (unconsiously)
I saw a remark about age in this thread. In this case I don't know cuz I wasn't there. But last years I see many posts from relatively new fans who interpret the past. It is sometimes a funny (and sometimes enlighting) read to see what people make of it even when it went totally different when it happened. I those cases age and the fact of being around as fan really help in information/knowledge sense. [Edited 12/18/06 0:05am] Ich bin bei der Neue Kraft Bewegung

Young people think every sound effect means the song was ripped. It is crazy. P wrote EC after seeing P-FUNK at the Beverly Theather in late 83. You can find a live CD of P-Funk at the Berverly. About a year ago Blackbird Mcknight was on the Ricky Vincent show and commented on P being at that show. Thanks for calling me young, I'm not! ha A "sound effect" can also be called a "hook" and I consider it a hook in both songs. "Snooop" sounds just like the keyboard hook in "White Horse" and take those parts out and the songs aren't as catchy. ______________________________________________
