The TV appearnces [which one?], the album, the video for Black Sweat, Vegas, being nominated for awards, performing with W&L again etc.

Mine is the SNL Fury performance, when i saw it over at HQ my jaw just dropped, he nailed one his best TV spots ever, looked and sonded great + it was my first time of hearing Fury [it's still the best version available!].

seeing prince and tamar perform in chicago this year and having a sweeeeet standing spot in front of the man. more importantly, having a whole buncha great people show up in chicago for the show (circle of sexxxy forever! drunken whale-tail...NEVER!). i wish one of the sexxxies wouldn't have gotten ill during the evening, but at least she got to be right up there in front to enjoy the whole show.

The Tamar show in Houston. Prince's performance was the single greatest display of musicianship I have ever seen.

I stood in line five hours to see it, and I'd gladly do it again.

The SNL "Fury" performance is a close second. Best TV performance I've ever seen by anyone.

Dec. 1st @ 3121....Still reeling from that performance....

Prince himself is my purple highlight EVERY year!

Brit Awards, BET awards were cool.

I can't do just one, either.

1) Seeing him with Tamar in Minneapolis and getting on stage.
2) Seeing him in Vegas on my birthday and having him hand his guitar down to my friends and me.

The Prince/Tamar concert in Houston in March. Hanging out with the Houston "org-ers" in line to get in for about 5 hours, being on the front row, Prince handing down his guitar to us, catching a sweat towel that Prince threw out into the crowd (I call it the Black Sweat towel with a Target label on it), and ultimately getting pulled up on stage to dance. Loved it!

I think American Idol, because I was so surprised when he walked on there and I really did like that performance.

Ummm...I have several.
Being able to see his performance on Saturday Night Live -LIVE- by attending the dress rehearsal.
Being front and center for the Good Morning America performance.
Seeing him and Tamar at the Nokia theatre in my hometown NY.
Seeing the Tamar show in Miami.
Seeing both shows at the first 3121 Club in Vegas at the Empire Ballroom.

Pretty good year.

My Purple Highlight of 2006? Sorry, I can't name one, have to name all!

2 - Tamar and Prince shows - Nokia NYC;Nations Club in DC

2- May Vegas shows at the Empire - Prince called me up on stage and I
danced some 80s dances with Tamar and the Twinz

1- Rio May Vegas show - saw The Time, Larry Graham and Prince

1 - The GMAs in NYC's Bryant Park - Fantastic show, near the front

1 -The Butter Restaurant - 4 hour show - stood less than 2 feet directly
across from Prince and Tamar during the entire
4 hours..it was awesome!

2 - Vegas shows- 11/10 - 11/11 at tht 3121 Club Las Vegas - Got a high-five from
Prince and he handed a shaker(maraka instrument prop) to me and
2 other fans);me and my friends got our pictures taken from Sam
Jennings and our pictures, along with other people that attended
that night, all got our pictures shown on the 12 screens both nights
inside of Club 3121..


What more can I ask for? It was definitely a "Prncely" year!!!Can't wait to see what happens in 2007!!!

Yeah, when I read the title of the thread, it reminded me that I got to see Prince several times this year. I haven't gotten to go to any of the new Vegas shows though. I hope to see my fellow orgers at all of the events coming next year!

I think I have had a lot of Purple moments this year:

--When I heard he was going to do the Halftime show at the Superbowl.
--Seeing him on TV at the UK Hall of Fame. (So sexy.)
--Hearing about him winning so many other awards.
--Everytime I bought a P cd.
--Going as a Black Lisa from the Revolution for Halloween. LOL!
