"The New 'N' word: Negative No Matter HOW It's Spelled" There's an old adage that states "What you say, or allow to be said about you, is what you will become."
In November 1988 Prince did one show in Seattle on the Lovesexy tour. I remember calling Austin, one of my best friends, to see if he wanted to come to the show. Austin was in the Navy at the time and he was stationed in Seattle. So of course I had to call him. Continue reading this entry ยป www.trueprincestories.com

I really enjoyed reading this. You are right by the way...I don't understand what is wrong with people of my generation lately..like have class and social graces you are considered a nerd or something.
Kinda goes along with the way I see young women treat eachother...like calling eacthother "bitch" or "whore" or "slut" or saying something like "I'M A BITCH" proudly...like that is something to be proud of. That really irritates me. But cool entry.

This is a great story, but I'm surprised by Prince's reaction at the time, given that he used the term on the Black Album, and, of course, named one track 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton - of course, since he cancelled the album at the time he may have thought better of using the term. I wonder what changed in the early '90s, though, when he began to use it liberally...

What changed in the 90s? He let idiots like Tony M. influence him. I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo, which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos

Great entry Hucky. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

I saw the show, went to the hotel after to see my idol. All i saw was Levy Seacer and Miko being ignored in the lobby.
