No, it did not! She was certainly funny, as always, but what DO you say to A PRINCE? I loved it when she asked him to wear the 'ellen' underwear she gives to her guests, and was like..."nah. no thanks".

I went to see 'ellen' last year for the Mardi Gras reunion show. She was so nice to everyone. I even asked her to tell Prince hi for me.

We'll see if the message gets thru.....

I think Prince is probably a very genuine and nice person (and with his clout, it would be very easy for him NOT to be), and would go out of his way to make an interviewer feel comfortable. Probably to the point that he himself may become slightly uncomfortable.

Letterman is a horrible interviewer, but he's turned that into his strength: it's what makes him funny. I think celebs go on to Letterman knowing this, or simply refuse to even humor him (ala Oprah). He's going to put his guests in the hotseat, and they know it (well, everyone except for Farrah, bless her heart).

Ellen is a great interviewer, and is getting better every day.

I can never get enough of Prince, and thanks for posting the video, I watched it when it came out and it was nice seeing that again.

Thanks for posting this. I can barely stand to watch him like that...so human and raw, not all out there being a rock star on stage. And yes, he is being uncomfortable, which amps up his human-ness--which is irresistable. It is too much for my groupie self to see him like that.

I love Ellen. I liked the interview..it was cool when she broke out the For You LP..that album is awesome!!! I thought they seemed to get along pretty well.
