I have figured out (in theory) the intro to "17 Days"

Here's my theory: I believe that Prince was just hitting random notes on the open "G" string on the bass guitar. He also probably added effects to the sound like flanger or phaser or something. I used to think it was just synth effects or something being played, but it sounds more like a bass. I tested this today when I was playing the bass. I'm too lazy to post tablature, so don't ask.
