No. His style as a singer and musician is too established and well-defined for him to play that kind of a role. People would have too many expectations of what he should look and sound like.
Eddie Murphy, on the other hand, hasn't done a musical. People would have no pre-conceived notions regarding his performance. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
