No, the story goes that the producers wanted to change 2 words in Kiss and had to ask Prince's permission, who said no until they showed him an early version of the movie, when he relented and also offered them the Song Of The Heart song. So it seems like the song was already recorded or in the process of before Prince was even involved. There would really be no reason for Prince to be involved anyway.
