The Air That I Breathe by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood,
If I could make a wish I think I'd pass Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound Nothing to eat no books to read Making love with you, has left me peaceful warm inside What more could I ask There's nothing left to be desired Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you Just to have you now All I need is the air that I breathe you're all I want Peace came upon me and it breathes in me Don't sleep silent angel don't you sleep Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you just to have you now All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you All I need is the air that I breathe you're all I want Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you All I need is the air that I breathe Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you All I need is the air that I breathe [Edited 12/8/06 18:40pm]

Me?
I'm kidding. But it might be nice to be tucked in by him, w/ some cookies & milk by the bedside (Oreos, please). Maybe have him sing me a li'l lullaby b4 turning off the lights, just as long as it's not Tambourine. 'Yeah, yeah, 2 bad'. (Nothing against the song, I love it, but my mind needs calm at night. Sweet gentle soothing things, and lots and lots of calm). Peg-Steely Dan the Test-the Chemical Bros. Speaking in Tongues-Eagles of Death Metal Super! Thanks for asking "Plaid shorts are completely over."

"under ice" or "jig of life" by Kate Bush. "protection" by massive attack and Tracey Thorn The above songs all require a great deal of emotion to be relayed through the vocals. Prince hasn't made a song that truly moves a person in years. I think this would be a great challenge for him. Oooooh, Protection would be an excellent choice! I can hear him doing it acapella in my head. But how can you say he hasn't made a song that truly moves a person in years???? Do you actually read any of the posts in these forums? I would like Prince to cover these 3 songs. First, I like him to take on Led Zeppelin's song "Ten Years Gone". I love that song and can see Prince putting his on spell on it. 2nd, will be George Clinton's classic "Quickie". Last but not least, a Marvin Gaye song. Doesn't matter which one, They're all good. As a honorable mention, the Isley Bros. "Take me to the next phase". Peace and be wild!

I think it'd be loads of fun to hear his take on that Chuck Berry classic, Johnny Be Good. Also, I kinda think it'd be neat to hear him try his hand at Science Fiction/Double Feature from the RHPS. And for my completely impossible wish, I'd want to go back in time and hear the Revolution circa 1999 do T Rex's Children of the Revolution. Just cuz. Everybody here wants You ... Jeff Buckly, nice soulful song that Prince could do well. Hot Stuff ... Rolling Stones, 70's funk riff and would be interesting to here what Prince would with this. Give it away now ... Red Hot Chilli Peppers, great funky bassline and ready made song for Prince to get funky with Superfreak ... Rick James , classic funk.

I hear a bit of Kiss in Prince, some of the showy stuff like Charisma maybe. "Hard Luck Woman"? "Hotter than Hell?" "Do You Love Me"? Interesting. I never would've thought of Kiss.

I thought of that as well, and avoided listing them because I was beaten to the punch. There are a lot of paralells with Prince and Bowie - androgynous sex symbols, pioneers, theatricality, movies, long-term success/legacy, make-up, existing somewhat outside the mainstream, always being smarter/one step ahead, wealth, chameleon-like public personas... "Win" (David Bowie) - This would bring tears to my eyes. "Mountains" (Prince & the Revolution) - I think he'd do justice to this song. You want him to cover himself? "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I'm convinced all he really needs is a kick in the pants, figuratively speaking. Something that'll light a match at his designer heels and give him a real challenge. Oh Micky u'r so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind Hey Micky. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
