what would you like prince to cover?

You get 3 wishes. What are they?

I think it'd be loads of fun to hear his take on that Chuck Berry classic, Johnny Be Good. nod

Also, I kinda think it'd be neat to hear him try his hand at Science Fiction/Double Feature from the RHPS. boxed

And for my completely impossible wish, I'd want to go back in time and hear the Revolution circa 1999 do T Rex's Children of the Revolution. Just cuz. woot!

"Do U Wanna Funk" (Sylvester) - AS IF lol - but it would be hot.

"Win" (David Bowie) - This would bring tears to my eyes.

"Mountains" (Prince & the Revolution) - I think he'd do justice to this song.

Voodoo Chile (slight return) - Hendrix
Crosstown Traffic - Jimi
Helter Skelter - Beatles

So many really....

An all-covers album would be an interesting project for him.

"Shake Your Pants" Cameo

"Rain" TTD

"Burnin'" Rahsaan Patterson, but only if he breaks out the Linn drum machine and flange effects.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

"iiieee" or "caught a light sneeze" by Tori Amos
"under ice" or "jig of life" by Kate Bush.
"protection" by massive attack and Tracey Thorn

The above songs all require a great deal of emotion to be relayed through the vocals. Prince hasn't made a song that truly moves a person in years. I think this would be a great challenge for him.

Something by Kiss.... Something like Firehouse or Strutter.

I hear a bit of Kiss in Prince, some of the showy stuff like Charisma maybe.

I really like when he played guitar on "while my guitar gently weeps" during the rock and roll hall of fame, so that's my pick.

Suck and Let Go - Peaches (this could have fit perfectly on the 1999 album, done with the way his vocals are on All the Critics... love )

Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors - Radiohead (with Camille on vocals drool )

Crosseyed and Painless - Talking Heads (I would drop over dead nod )

Little Acorns - The White Stripes (Just to hear Prince sing; "Be like the squirrel girl be like the squirrel, owww, ow, a-a- owww drooling )

and...Pretty much any Vanity 6 or Apollonia 6 song.

Zeppelin..."Heartbreaker" or "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"

It would be interesting to hear him cover Dylan. Maybe "Hurricane"

And Hendrix. "Foxey Lady" or "Crosstown Traffic"

Damn, I miss the pre-Jehovan Prince.

What's sad is that there ARE probably fully mastered versions of him doing a lot of these songs, just gathering dust in the vault.
