Bad review of song of the heart

On www.cinemablend.com they discuss the Happy Feet soundtrack and this is what they have to say about Prince's input:

http://www.cinemablend.co...-1634.html
Did we learn nothing from the movie Purple Rain? The further away from movie soundtracks that we can keep Prince, the better off we’ll all be. He various random squeals and grunts are no less annoying here than anywhere else. In fact, they might be more so since, at one point in the song, his voice gets the same high pitched squeaky digital alteration that they used for the baby penguins in the movie. It doesn’t get much weirder than chipmunk Prince. Not a good way to start off the disc.

I couldn't disagree more with this guy. First of all why is he putting down Purple Rain? Not only is that one of the best albums ever made, it also got an Oscar for best soundtrack. But going on to Song of the heart. I really dig this song and it is one of the better songs on the album. The song is fit perfectly for the movie and I personally like the high pitched voice thing.
(Little Richard enters the stage)
Homer: Purple Rain!!
Little Richard: Shut up!
Homer (to Marge): Oh my God, Michael Jackson just told me to shut up!

I think the guy's got a personal issue with Prince, too much personal oppinion. I also like the song, the more I listen the better it is, seems like a personal song, kind of about himself. That's how I hear it anyway.
I don't know, don't matter what he does, someone will always slate it.

reads like it's been done by a sexually frustrated teen with spots and a chip on his shoulder!. In the world of the many Prince trax it's very average BUT in the context of the movie it kind of fits.

He's wrong about Purple Rain. But he is right as rain on SOTH -- just not for the reason he cites.

i don't like the song but I think this person isn't reviewing the song as much as stating their dislike for anything Prince.

So true.

Song of the Heart ain't exactly worthy of being a single, let alone a grammy nod, but the reviewer lambastes the Purple Rain soundtrack? Pah-leeez! lol

Correction: Prince got an Oscar for the movie's score, which technically speaking includes many of the songs on the album which is not technically a soundtrack since it only includes the songs performed by Prince (and not even all of those either)

Said what that Purple Rain sucks as a soundtrack !!! Guy's got an issue with Prince. The Happy Feet song is not that great but it does fit the film.
