If You Met Prince...

Do you think it would diminish your love affair with him and his music or would it be the highlight of your life? I think I wouldn't be excited about the whole thing anymore and I wonder how I would feel if he wasn't what I thought he was all these years. What do you think? whistling

No.

My love affair with his is at a low ebb already. I still love his music though, but I'm getting too old to freak out everytime I see him on television.

I have no expectations of him now as far as personality. I think he's this wierd cat, and his mysterious act is way played out....but none of that matters anymore--I just want to hear the music music!

Oh, and I'd love for him to apologize for Graffiti Bridge. I almost got my ass kicked for talking my friends into renting the movie one night. A room full of young teenage boys, half tanked on Alchohol staring at me with disbelief. disbelief

It would be the highlight of my life. Even if he acts weird, I would still like his music. Just because he sounds like a sweetheart in his songs, doesn't mean that he is that way as a person. Maybe, just maybe, he might like me. Princey, The Unpredictable One.

It did 4 me. I met him at Glam Slam in L.A. at 3am back in 1994. He wasn't very open and relaxed as he seems to be now. If I met him now, I may feel differently. He was very cold and I was extremly nervious. I had one shot to speak to him and all I could say was "Thank you for the music." sad

I would like another chance now.

Man, I can't wait to meet God, smile, and have chats with Him!

As for Prince, he is a human and just like us (with much more money and talent), I would treat him the same as the next fellow next to me...
Funny though, I did meet him and that's just what I did...He was comfortable and so was I.
Um... let me warm up my vocals

First and foremost you have to view prince, as a man who is created by the father (DAD) as we all are...

Second view him, as a talent that is sharing his spirit to show us things we might be numb to awaken something within us about truth

Third... he is a man with a spirit encased like us all.

Since eternity is forever... what would diminish in a family?

Thank you and just sharing...Therefore, no nothing would diminish.

I had for many years wondered what it would be like to meet Prince in person and i have to admit I was scared and if I had the chance to meet him would He not be everything I had dreamed Prince would be. I can say by my own personal experience I was very fortunate to have experience this encounter with the Magnificent One and I can say He is as Sweet,Amazing, and Has the most Beautiful skin even with out no stage make up all natural. Prince is quite shy and His smile would melt you. Prince hands are so soft and warm. All in All, Prince is the person whom you see at the Concerts,Videos,Pictures, etc. Prince is the most Amazing,Beautiful,Magnificent,Talented,Intelligent and the most real Person in the World. There is nothng fake about him. Prince is all you may have imagined He would be and more. Prince has been truly Blessed and He is here on Earth doing what God has Blessed him with sharing his Talent and doing a job well done! @(+> Love, Respect, & Joy

I've never been really eager to meet him, for fear that he may be having a bad day or not in the right space to have a conversation.

He does seem a little more at ease with himself and his surroundings now. I'd hope it would be more than a "hello" and short enough so I wouldn't start babbling on. I've only met Eric leeds and Sheila. It was nice.

I agree with Asianbomb777. I am 35 almost 36 and while it would it would be cool 2 meet the man I am getting too old to be freaked out by it. With the responsibilities of a family man and doctor with 3 kids I have little time to fawn over any pop star. That be said I always pop in his music when I want to taken away to another world. I still go to every concert that local and have a huge library of music that the general public just doesn't have. But in terms of me getting excited to meet him I don't get too blown away as I am sure he could care less about meeting me or other fams. In fact when I want to explain how tired and busy I am to my wife I say "I don't care of that purple midget was in next aisle giving one on one interview, I am tired of christmas shopping I want to go home!" She then knows I am serious. But props and respect to those that still gonna faint when they meet him biggrin

I'd just give him one of my most scintillating smiles and say, "It's a pleasure to meet you," like I would to anyone else. And maybe add a "thanks for the music." That could be dangerous, though -- I'm afraid I'd blurt "except for Jughead."

I think I would be so nervous if I ever did meet Prince but this is truly a dream of mine to one day meet him, it would be a dream come true. To see how Prince really is what a day in his life is like the thought of meeting him just facinated me.

The closest I ever came to him was at the 11-25-06 show at 3121 where he handed me a tambourine, I still can't believe that happened.

To be honest I have never met him but my impression is I dont think Prince is much of a people person Im not knockin him for it but I dont see him being overly interested in people around him too much unless maybe You are a hot lady or maybe
a muscician or celeb he happens to like, for the general fans I wouldnt expect their to be much meaningful interaction with him, he might sign something and give you a few seconds to make the typical fan comments that he has heard a thousand times then he would say Thanks and that would be it, Prince is great I have been a fan since I was 14yo and Im 36 now but really what he gives us fans is in his music and his performance I doubt he is likely to sit and spend time with talking with us although some hot lady fans may have got some of his attention hehe.

Yeh I hear what your saying but I tend to think most of the Prince films and much of he music are really for Prince fans , I have found many people who are not already into Prince wont be too interested,I have had similiar experiences way back trying to share my enthusiasm with the non converted, but its a bit like this saying "if I have to explain then you wouldn't understand", I mean you either dig him or you dont.

I agree with that...even thought the general public like his hits like "Gett Off", "Kiss", "Rasberry Berret" you really have to be INTO Prince kinda appreciate stuff like Graffiti Bridge.

As for the original topic it would be hard not to feel nervous around him I think..although I would want to be myself as much as possible it would be hard to be yourself around someone you really look up to. But I'm sure he has delt with enough fans to understand that. My stomach would be doing somersaults though. razz

But it would be hard not to look at him and replay awesome "Prince" moments in your head like "Omg this is the man who humped a microphone onstage during 'Head', or the man in front of me is actually the one who was in the Sign of the Times movie!" I would be odd seeing him right in front of you after seeing all this amazing preformances on film for so many years and making the connection that he really DID of that in his lifetime.
