'If I had a harem' lame studio version , i'd forgotten P had put this on the Music club.. .. and isn't it awful?. I stumbled upon it this week in my collection. I really hope it's a demo version. The best one yet was from a Vegas show back in 1999, even better than the Lovesexy one. P if you ever release it , please put the GEEEETARRRRR back in and not those lame synths.

Sounds like you got it from a p2p source where it has been badly labelled. I tend to think you can't criticise unreleased demos because the fact they were never released could be because Prince wasn't happy with it himself. Just shows there is a point where bootlegs can unfairly tarnish his reputation.

song should have been,"if i never had a harem" ...~ ~Live Free ... Be Wyld~AlwaysOnlyMakeBelieve - LiveUrLyfe... laissez le bon temps rouler...vivre sans être sauvage...हमेशा ही बना विश्वास ~Change and do so CONSTANTLY...

The Vegas 99 version is the kizu-wizu-ze'. Straight blues. Organ solo, and screaming guitar. He even had perfect pitch on that joint. Slow walked it like Temptation. "Bartender!Bring that girl a whiskey!" Too funky. Good grief. Do not play it w/ the volume all the way up on an mp3 player or you will damage your ears. Powerful

and to top it off it leads straight into a killer version of the Ride. That gig by thw way had one hell of a set list.
