Yes i am. Even in between 1990-1992 when i went off the guy and didnt like what he was doing, i still checked him out bought the albums even though i hated them and hardly played them. Same with the whole 1996-2000 period. My levels of interest fluctuate but he's always there ya know! Even when he's at his frustrating worst.

I'm pretty sure I will be listening to Prince for a long time, as long as his stuff is still available on this lovely planet Earth, and as long as I still have the ability to rock hard in a funky place.
Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. We are Sexually Frustrated what we R... Amen..!!! - zelaire

Lifer, absolutely.
As ridiculous as this may sound, he's become SUCH a huge part of my life, now, that I sometimes wonder what the hell it would be like if I'd never discovered his music.sad

Organgrinder is right, we P fans are spoiled! Compare how much music (released and unreleased) we have to most other artists and becoming a Prince fan is like walking into an Aladdin's cave! I was simply astounded when I got 'into' him; it was like "There's this album? And this album? And THIS one? And another??!".

For good or bad, I'm with him.

So true...

To hear an outtake here and an outtake there and a download here and a download there...Prince is like your mother's jewelry box full of wonder...beautiful and priceless!

Quite weird to think that it has been around 10 years since I first started talking to Prince fans on the net... and it has been 18 years since I first heard a Prince record...!

I'm a bit bored now because for me Prince is foremost a pop singer/ musician, maybe the greatest of pop history, & I'm tired of his almost cultish attitude "if you love me follow me...", I know that the system sucks but I want to hear his stuff on the radio, I want him to release "wonderfull ass" uncensored before I'm old & too fat

I second that, but still I'm gonna be down for life.
I'll have another glass of you.

I'm a lifer, maybe I'll get parole to go like Radiohead for a while. Its more a matter of knowing he can always surprise you. The mid to late 90's wasn't a great period in my opinion but every time you start to wander he does something to pull you back in. For me it was his show at the Montreal Jazz Fest, it totally restored my faith and reignited my passion for his back catalogue. Then much of the music he played that night ending up becoming full sons on TRC, between that and ONA Live (and another live evening with him) I'm excited by his music again like its 1988 all over again.

Exactly my thoughts. A few times I was ready to give up on him but everytime a new album was released I couldn't resist to buy it. I guess I'm down for life as well...

Prince will pretty much always be my #1. Until I find some artist better that has more influence & impact on me, Prince will always rule my music world, in ways that the Clash, Talking Heads, or the Smiths may never reach.

Are you down with Prince for life? Are you going to purchase at least 90% of what he releases in the future and still go to concerts etc? He's been a part of my life for more than half of it. Im wondering if there is going to come a time when I dont even bother or care to be a part of the Prince audience. But right now I can say, even if I become more bored and the magic still is not as bright as possible,Im down for life...good times and bad..thick n thin...the sickness. (fo-eva?fo eve-eva?)

YES AND NO!!!
I've recently started listening to him again for the first time in YEARS,my favorites-SOTT,Lovesexy,Parade,1999..still have the same effect on me,I will ALWAYS adore these albums.
But I'm in no rush to buy anything new from him or anything released after D&P for that matter.A lot of the stuff he was doing in the mid to late 90s,I hated and I probably won't change my mind!

Yes, I believe I am.

Prince and his music have been an important, significant part of my life for almost 20 years now. When I was younger I wondered if the day would ever come where I just wouldn't care anymore; but even during a time in my life when I was distanced from what was happening with P's career, both musically and personally, I *never* stopped loving the music or appreciating him and his talent.

I definitely am down with Prince for life.

Prince's music is part of my blood and soul.I have no choice in the matter.God gave me Prince and God gave Prince me.That's just how it is.

What would I have done without him blowin' my mind?Just imagine if you weren't allowed to listen to him anymore.I'd hurt somebody!
