Naw man it aint cultish. It's like folks who always look out for a particular director to do a film, or writer to publish a book, or catch an athlete in all his games/matches, or follow a particular sport.

It would be easier to make this a casual thing but Prince released an average of a little more than 1 album/cd per year since he started. That means, just as many of us were weaning off the old release, something new'd pop up.

Granted the excitement may have abated with the last few releases, but music in general has been a big part of my life... I drive to it, study and write to it, clean to it, relax to it, dance to it, etc... and a lot of critical times that music happens to have been by Prince. Too many memories to walk away from at this point.

Hell back when releases were regular I dated isht according to release... "Oh yeah, back when Around the World in a Day came out... that stuff happened when Lovesexy was out... etc."

Wtf? lol I think you need a bit of perspective. His music may be the bomb-diggity, but if there is a heaven, I hardly think that him and his music should be a priority.

and my answer, nope...i still think its a bit "fanantical" to make a statement like that...and w&l are on my crap list right now...they need to give an update on whats going on in their careers..im not soo obssessed with them that ill go out and see Juwanna Mann just to sample their music...

Listening to Prince's music is like reading the Bible...you'll always hear (see) something that you've never paid attention to before...there are nuances (voices, melodies, beats, etc.) that can become new each time you take a listen...to any song of his.
