Why does Prince recorded and put on the vault a song with incredible melody like Power Fantastic but with terrible recording? I mean, i´ve been working on recording and mastering since i was a kid and it´s very clear that in the time of the actual recording 1 minute 34,65 seconds there is a high pop that absolutely destroy the song. Dont you all be a Prince asskisser saying he can do no wrong, i talked with lots of audio engineers graduated in the best universities in the world and they all agree. I would love to hear the song but these frequencies problems kill the song for anyone who has half of a ear.

This has been discussed ad nauseum here and in the Uptown books that chronicle Prince's career.

The "pop" you hear is Prince farting. As I hear it, Prince was sitting on a wooden stool while recording Power Fantastic, and with Wendy in a seperate room, he thought he could squeeze one out without anyoen knowing. But, as with most flatulence, it was not the silent one he expected. He had to forcefully squeeze this particular fart off, and, coupled with the wooden stool and the room being situated for this type of recording session, created the infamous "pop" sound we all hear when listening to the song.

1. Most of us are too poor to own a $20,000 speaker system with a built-in fart detector, so we're not worthy to comment on these highly technical matters.
