Whether or not he swears is up to him, even if he chooses flawed reasoning for not doing so. Biblically speaking, it's words that he and God knows how many other religious folks still say that are the real curse words.

"Oh My God" is the best example I can think of. Prince, thy name is dumbass.

What we call swearing -shit, piss, cunt, fuck, and all those other lovelies -are really just rude at best. Not the greatest idea to shout out in front of toddlers or over tea with grandma, but not actually curse words.

But if Prince DID take up swearing and singing about baby making again? I'd be thrilled, if only for the opportunity of hearing some of my favourite songs performed. C'mon Prince, many of us aren't old enough to have seen you play before you got beat up with the Holy Stick, but that doesn't mean we only like the new work. Show us some love!

If he took up that habit again, I'd be first to petition the guy to do a musical version of George Carlin's "Incomplete List of Impolite Words". That would make my day. cloud9
