Well most of my friends have such a bad taste in music you know they like Rihanna,Pussycat Dolls Britney Spears,Christina Aguilera and Timberlake.And their opinion about our man...
They think that he is gay(well even if he is he has the right to be)
They say he is ungly
They say that he had done surgeons that's why he seems so young and that's why he has full lips(well they don't know anythin' about him amd they thought that he is 20 years old).But i tell them that i don't care and that's why i like him because he doesn't care what the people say...he is just so ME!!!!!

My friends dont listen to him. They know about him and they know not to say anything stupid about him around me

I think I've created a monster. LOL. My best friend didn't really know much about Prince and we watched a few of his vids and now she's in love with him.

My friend say P's albums have poor mastering.









Just kidding, most of my friends don't know anything except for purple rain and stuff, sad.

When I first got into Prince in 1995, my friends all made fun of me. Come to think of it, they weren't very good friends. They all thought he was freaky and weird, but I had a serious 13 year old girl type crush on him.

When I got into high school, I met maybe 4 other people who liked him.

When I went to Community College, I met a couple more, but most people still made fun of me.

When I went to University, most people at least knew who he was, and had a little respect for him, because of his newly dubbed "legend status." Musicology had just come out, and he was everywhere, so all of a sudden it was ok to like Prince.

Now I am 24, and I'm still the only person in my group'o'friends who is flat out crazy about him. Oh well, it makes me feel special I guess.

none of my friends like Prince. if i bring his music up at all i get teased, usually.

Now these are all speaking for different friends but,

They think he's scary.
They think he's fucking awesome (after I hipped them to 'im).
They think he's immortal/a vampire.
They think he's 'just silly'.
They'd 'love to bang' him, as he put it.
OR They have never heard of him in their life.

My friends tease me about Prince to no end!
All the typical stuff...gay, weird, creepy, funny looking, skinny MFer with the high voice..

But really they all respect him, and my 3 closest friends and my brother have even become bigger fans of his

I'm slowly converting them all, mwahahaha!!!

My friends wouldn't know who Prince was if I didn't go on and on about him. One is obsessed with Nickelback and the other with Superman and the Rasmus . They won't give him a listen and every time I suggest we listen to him at a party or whatever they roll their ig'nant little eyes and put on Chad "I only sing one song" Kroger (or however it is spelt, the point is, he's fugly). The only other friend I have likes him because she makes me listen to Marilyn Manson. She at least respects him and tolerates my obsession.

Well all of my friends went something like this. (step by step)

1. "Who's Prince?"
2. I explain who he is, let them listen to either "Kiss" or "When Doves Cry" (the latter for rock lovers, it never fails)
3. "Hey, I know that song!" (well duh )
4. I let them listen to a whole album/whole hits compilation
5. "He's cool but he's kind of weird...ya know?"
6. I have deep conversation with them about uniqueness and how genius is one step from insanity
7. "I love that outfit!!! You wouldn't think he could pull it off but..."

And yeah, it works like that almost every time...all my friends are at least minor Prince fans now.

Most of my friends don't like him.

If they have something nice to say about him, they'd say they like some of his songs but are not crazy about him.

Alot of my friends and people I know like his hit songs and realize his genius, even if some don't really care for his personality. Most people I know like his songs though.

I'll only b friends with people who love him!

Acutally a lot of my friends are huge fans. My two best friends both consider him to be one the greatest muscians ever, and are always ask me to give them some the stuff i have. **i'm getting one of them the one night alone box set for x-mas** She acutally stood up all night and waited in line with me to see him peform on GMA show this summer. And my other best friend who acutally got me into Prince will be meeting up w/ me this weekend in Las Vegas to go to both Prince shows that weekend.**i'm buying one of her tickets as x-mas present** and she insits we get there super early so we can be right up front, and is drulling over the fact that he's been playing "if i was ur girlfriend" and "pink cashimre" But then there others who think he's alright they like the hits, and there are some who cant stand him. but for the most part i have kick ass friends who love Prince. but after all that's why we are friends, cause we share simlar intrests.

I have one good friend who is prince fan, probably bigger than me (hes flying down to see the man in Vegas on the 8th).

Everyone else makes fun of him for being pervy, but they secretly think its hilarious and tease me when I drop some Prince lines to pick up chicks though I'm just having fun and being cheeky. Some tease him for being gay, but they all know hes not, and I'm sure they all have at least couple of his tracks on there IPod. (Head, Bambi, The Future, and When Doves Cry are the ones my buddies can dig)

And most of them have seen and enjoyed purple rain, thanks to me...

I don't know a single soul that likes Prince except you lot! Ok, maybe you can count my 8 & 5 year old kids, they really like his music but thats just because they have been brain-washed & its all we listen to in my car! My 8 year old even has a crush on him! All of my friends think I am weird cos as well as loving his music, I find him really attractive! I caught him watching it between games! Anyway, to cut a long boring story short, asked him if we could go to Vegas for our wedding anniversary for a long weekend (we live in the UK) just to see Prince & he has agreed!!!! OMG!!! He actually said he thought Prince was really talented, so slowly, I am getting there!!

most of my friends are also fans, but a few of 'em don't really mind him. they don't diss 'im or anything, but they just don't care for his work much.

I got the Purple Rain film for xmas a few years ago, my younger sister and the rest of the family was laughing all the way through callin' him a freak.....until he sang 'the beauitiful ones' live and she was like....





Then the performance of Purple Rain at the end and she was lke.....


The room went very quiet and they all ate her words:.....(and some xmas pud)

All my straight friends love his earlier work before "Purple Rain". Only one or two of my gay friends like him period.
