Is there something you just noticed...

years and years later, even though it was so damn obvious.

I just realized yesterday, that Prince is wearing jeans in Little Red Corvette. This normally is not a big deal but we all know Prince and jeans are a rare occasion.

Listening to the lyrics to When U Were Mine, I just realized the woman Prince seems torn up about is a whore.

anyone had that experience?

Yeah, jerky boy or girlfriends come to mind instantly. Y'know how it is (or thankfully, the Lord has been kind to you and you don't), but they are the ones you spend years loving despite your inner instincts. Your friends tell you, your family tells you, and after years of suffering, abuse, humiliation, and self-reflecting it becomes slowly, and most likely, quite painfully obvious....the two of you were never meant to be in the first place, and you should have listened to your heart long ago, and/or loved yourself or respected yourself more, and then you would have never gotten into that awful mess in the first place. And you can't really argue with that awful feeling, because it's kind of your fault for trying to be someone or something that you simple were not meant to be.

I now have a partner whom I care about deeply, and who I feel, loves me in kind, in return, and for the person I truly am.

Don't get me wrong: I hope I haven't been a buzzkill. All of this has led to me finding true happiness (even b4 I met my partner) but I'm curious: is this the kind of the thing you had in mind?

I was reading an article about some famous choreographer (Darrin or something??) who is credited with having worked with Prince.

But I realized that I can't think of any video where Prince does any choreography-looking moves?

Thats all I can think of right now confused
If you will, so will I

In my defense guys, (and truly I'm being lighthearted here), the experience I just shared kind of reflects what P is singing about in When U Were Mine.

There! That makes it Prince related, and therefore relative....uhrm, right? Bueller? Buelller? Frye? Frye?

This interests me to no end, and I kind of have to go right now, but I want to come back to this in the future.

Prince, I'm sure choreographs everything we see of his, in one way or another. Tho' I've never seen him go all 'Rhythm Nation' on us (but what about the vid from GB for Thieves in the Temple...I know, it sssssizzlesssss...)

I want to come back to this topic in the future, thekidsgirl. Hope to speak w/you again soon....

Peace

I realized only about 2 years ago that "Come a butterfly straight on your skin" was about him ejaculating on a woman in the shape of a butterfly.

I seriously thought he said "Come on, buttefly, straight on the your skin" which I thought he was just pondering a butterfly tatoee or something.

This is great comedy and it reminds me of my child hood. I definitely said "if I got a dime gonna listen to my party tonight."
On another note, my mom still laughs at the fact that when Hall and Oats "Maneater" came out I used to sing "...oh oh here she comes, she's not mine either."
It all made since to a six year old.
