Really this question is best answered by the orgers. Someone on here made a comment to me about that, since I use "P" to death. True, I have seen others since then to start refering to him as that. Nothing deep. I was just curious.

I can see a lot of people claiming it was them. This would be very hard to prove who started it.

In the early 80's when The Time was around, everybody in that band, called Prince "P". That's the earliest that I know of. But the thread is about who was the first to do so on this site.

Well, to my knowledge, I don't ever remember calling him P. Not saying I haven't, but certainly don't remember doing so. I think 'his purpleness' still sounds way better anyway

i remember who the first person was to call him just "the artist" and it happened on AMP way back when the media first used TAFKAP

Well, I remember when I first joined this site, right away, I started shortening things like "P" and "o.g." for "original". There were some orgers who tripped off that in a negative way. Didn't like that I did it. I know this cuz they responded with shit like "Well, it doesn't take but a few seconds longer to type out the rest of his name!". Which came off like no one else was using "P" on here.
