I love this song. I think it was recorded for the aborted soundtrack for "I'll Do Anything" in 92. Other songs include a few off the Old Friends CD - Rest Of My Life (a longer version was recorded), There Is Lonely and My Little Pill.
A live version was included in the ONA box set, and that is (IMO) better than the studio version. Other tracks from the Ill do Anything project are: Be My Mirror, Make Believe, Dont Talk to Strangers (later recorded for Girl 6 - and also by Chaka Khan), and the brilliant Empty Room (later released via NPGMC). This is yet another project of his that features many great P songs, and deserves better retrospective treatment. Id recommend, if you haven't already, seek out Empty Room, which was initially recorded back in 85, and Dont Talk To Strangers.
