Ultimate Prince was well recieved though there were a few dubious tracks on there such as the npg mix of cream. And how come they never include full versions of classics such as 1999 and When Doves Cry. This has prompted me to create my own Essential Prince album comprising 3 discs and emcompassing his entire career including the period. All tracks are sequenced chronologically from the time the version included was first "born", released or accidently released to the public.
With Christmas coming and a couple of my in laws showing mild tendendcies towards Prince music this might make a nice stocking filler for them.
