I haven't been in Paisley Park for a couple of years but he has made some small changes including all the tv's on the walls and getting rid of the hideous picture of himself behind the bar in the lobby next to the awards

WHAT A CHANGE!!!! eek eek eek

When I visited Paisley Park, and I did it twice, it wasn't like that at all. It was actually kind of old and not well maintained. This is FANTASTIC!!!

There's a night club inside. When is he having Friday night parties again???

It's been looking pretty much like this since 1995 or 1996 I think. I don't think the parties are coming back but here's hoping.

That is damn cool.

He should make his next website like the Gorillaz old Kong Studios site but using Paisley Park. I think it might be still up. It was pretty much like that virtual tour except the stuff in the rooms was interactive and you can move between rooms. More like a video game than a website. But yeah...very neat.

That place is so friggin' sweet. But I have 2 say I'm very unimpressed by the production offices and art departments. I know they were cleaned up 4 the photos, but everything in there seemed kinda sparse and not really workable. The studios, on the other hand, r gorgeous and scream 'we do a lot in here'.

yeah, i was kinna surprised too. i've been in all the studios and such, but the art department's room is...well, ultra-blah. nevermind the words on the walls, how can creativity spring up from that? no stimuli of any sort in there...no wonder the cover artwork that's been made as of late is so dull. disbelief

and seeing that virtual tour...it sorta made me sad, since i've been lucky enough to have been there for real. seems like it's been forever since i've been there, when were the last couple paisley parties (the musicology aftershows don't really count, imo) anyway?

You see how extravagant the rest of the place was...looks like they were scraping the bottom when it got around to those offices...

THIS is why I love this website so much. I never would've thought of going to Paisley Parks website...awesome find. That was so cool to see all the studios.

BTW, I was there back in 95 after Gold Experience was released when they had a party and filmed the video for Rock n Roll is Alive. I was so psyched just to be in the building but honestly the decor was pretty boring back then...I like the improvements!

WOOOOOW

Thanx for that!
This is absolutely gorgeous and amazing.
I love the uniqueness and the touches of Prince.
It's not very subtle, but who would expect SUBTLE when it comes to Prince.

I really loved it.biggrin
I wish I could one day have the chance to go and see it.
But well, one can always dream about these things.....

Have to agree that the art/production rooms were very sparse and not that creativity inducing.
hmmmm it is very strange considering how nice the other rooms were.
Maybe he didn't think it's that important since he is the one who comes up with all the ideas himself? eek

Serious question.

Has there ever been a poster, official or otherwise, of the place either inside or outside?.

wow...cool website. the angle or whatever it's called used in those photos make everything seem bigger. Some of the rooms are unrecognizable because they seem so much bigger than they really are....but since 2002 there has been a major make over in alot of the rooms.
