DO NOT TOUR IN EUROPE, PLEASE...

Well, the reports coming from vegas are not really good, are they ? Prince is described as being on auto and bored sometimes. His band is boring as hell. There is not one exceptional musician in his new band. The Twinz are two talentless naked teenagers. Put all that together + the fact that the whole thing is happening in Vegas and prince is losing a bit more of his credibility.

Over here in Europe, nobody is aware of what he does and to be quite frank nobody cares. Prince is seen as an has-been by the vast majority of europeans.

So please, Prince do not tour in Europe with this crap band. people here will trash you. We are far more difficult than the american audience. The only positive aspect here is that most people won't understand your preaching so they won't even notice.

Please, forget about 3121. It was a nice, ok album, just for fun.
Get in the studio, Work on something as adventurous as TRC, get a proper band, and put on a show like you did back in 2002. You were exceptional during this tour. Genius at work. wink

I'd feel lost if Prince didn't have talentless naked ladies on stage. Totally lost.

At nearly 50 years old, I don't think I want him to try and emulate the Prince of 20 years ago honestly. shrug

It would like the Rolling stones, where you have these 100 year old people shaking their asses on stage looking like shaking corpses.

I actually have come to terms that Prince will forever evolve or change, and that I should just go along for the ride...or not. shrug But that no matter what phase he goes through, it's always at least somewhat entertaining. I don't know what he has in store for us in the future, but I assume there are a few surprises on the horizon. And if not, the ride has been great so far. lol

The reports I have read are extremely positive about the actual perfomances of Prince. Seems like wishful thinking on your part, unless you can actually quote these negative reports you say you have read. Even if you could, I would argue there are far more positive reports than negative.

Prince's reputation as a live performer is untarnished even in Europe, and his shows will still sell out there even without a hit album accompanying it, as happened on the ONA tour only 4 years ago.

Yes, but the ONA tour was a small venue tour, in places of no more than approx. 5,000 seater concert halls, so no wonder he sold them out!! If he toured large arenas, such as Wembley Arena and Earls Court, for example, here at that time, I doubt whether they would have sold those out, because his popularity then was dwindling down 2 virtually a small loyal fan base and he knew it 2!! Hammersmith Apollo, for example, was only a 3,000 capacity arena, not exactly Earls Court or Wembley Arena!!! lol lol Most of his small loyal fanbase members went 2 Hammersmith for all 3 nights, so that alone took up some seating!!

Nowadays, he will never fill out 40 - 50 - 60,000 seater arenas or stadiums like he did in the 80s and early 90s!! sad sad sad

Frankly, who cares if he doesn't do stadiums in Europe anymore, it just means we get to see him a little closer than before! No one can argue that he is the megastar on top of the world like he used to be, though he still does pretty well for someone nearly 30 years into their career. Saying that, he did play Wembley Arena back in '98 and it looked pretty full to me - and that was years since his last hit. People will come out of the woodwork to see Prince live if they feel it is going to be a hits tour like what happened in America, less so if it is rarer material but still, a few 5000 arenas around Europe ain't bad in my opinion, I don't want to be stuck at the back of a crowd a mile from the stage like I used to be.

European audienc eis more difficult whether you liek it or not. Look at the way Princechanges his setlists when he comes to Europe. he is often more adventurous musically when he comes over here.

hahahaha ! New FANS ? You must be joking. 300 of them across Europe probably.

No let's be serious. Prince has not played in Europe for a long time (I mean with a proper tour) and Euroe has made a cross over him.

why don't you post links of the negative reviews that you claim in your post. otherwise you're just blowing a lot of hot air. I actually went to the shows in Vegas, however since you seem to know more than me, so can you show that there were more negative reviews than positive?

Go to the concerts section : reviews from last week-end show how great the shows were. And let's not mention the first night. One of my best mates from London attended the show and told me Prince was dead bored on stage.

I guess for those who have not seen the 1999, PR, Parade, Sign'o The times and Lovesexy tours and legendary aftershows, th new Celine Dion's concerts are fine.

Just like I thought blahblah HOT AIR. I asked you to post links to back up your claim and you didn't. that's funny, there was a man standing in the back of me, he's from London but he works in Vegas and he went to the press night show on Wednesday and the show on Friday and he said it was great, he was dancing up a storm. So what do you have to say about that?

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but you started a thread trashing a show you didn't go to and deemed yourself spoke person for an entire continent. oh well. time to move on..... cool

Can we please get off the "how folks should act at 50" kick. Prince still looks good so if he wants to lick his microphone and sing "Head" again while he electrocutes himself, whateva. Funny how eveybody makes fun of the Rolling Stones but you don't see them canceling concerts because they can't sell enough tickets.

Girl, you know as well as I do he's dying his hair black, his face is numb with botox, and he's got so much latex on him, you don't even know how much of him is human anymore. If he electricutes himself, all parts of that motherfucker would start beeping and shit.
