PRINCE TAKES LEGAL ACTION ON FANSITE This is from one of my Yahoo groups. HOUSEQUAKE posted it.
Prince has once again shown his nasty side, and has threatened to take the website Housequake.com to court over a picture posted on their site. The picture is question was a montage showing Prince and Elvis holding hands, in an obvious playful reference to Prince doing a series of shows in Las Vegas, a city that for many is unanimous with the name Elvis. It's depressing to know that all the work and effort we do maintaining websites where fans of Prince can come together and discuss music and have fun, is given so little appreciation. We hope that Prince will one day realise that we are on his side, not against him. Of course, actions like these makes us think twice about that. This action comes as the latest of many such actions towards fan sites over the years, and it will surely not be the last. This behaviour is something that makes us as webmasters censored in a way that is not really acceptable. We believe that many of these cases would most likely not stand up in court, but we have no choice but to comply, due to the financial muscle that Prince has, and we don't. Obviously Prince and his peeps aren't too busy to scope out fansites. There is no case here. These are just scare tactics, plain and simple. A lawsuit against any fansite for something like this is just plain....

I am actually suprised that this hasn't been a topic here already and I will be shocked if it's allowed to stay up. I do believe that it should.
I have some views on this that are not Housequake friendly.

Dude has a solid, rabidly-loyal fanbase and 85% of the time goes out of his way to shit on them. I really wish he would find something better to do. Im almost over it. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

Let me just re-iterate (as it apparently is being misrepresented on other sites) - there is no lawsuit against Housequake.
