Either U get it or not. If someone thinks Prince caresses the thought that fans love his ass or his reputation , it only solidifies their place in his mind.

I'm obviously a fan in general but there are certainly some tracks/albums I wouldn't listen to more than a few times...and then there are others that I will never stop listening to.

When I was a kid I was also really interested in Prince as a person, but now I really don't care about that at all.

It's really only about the music now. I just go by what music appeals to me the most and going by that, sometimes he hits, sometimes he misses.

I've never met a Prince fan who likes every single song he's ever done. In fact, that kinda creeps me out. There are Prince songs that I have to hear at least once a week, and then there are those songs that I listened to once and will never listen to again because I don't like them. You don't have to like every single thing he does to be a fan. Just like you don't have to buy all his albums brand new from the wrecka stow to be a fan. Man, I'm a hand-me-down Prince fan...80% of my Prince collection came used from Secondspin and Amazon.
I've had soo many of my Prince albums stolen, that there's no way I'm going to pay $10 or more for another copy of an album that's 12 years old when I can get a nice used copy for $3.99.
