Man...that is one lame-ass movie. I took my niece and nephew tonight -- my nephew fell asleep and my niece and I just plain hated it.

I wanted to like it -- I really did. But it starts off as a penguin version of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and ends up as half-assed environmental propoganda.

But the Prince song fits. It's a mediocre song for a mediocre movie.

The not knowing what the movie wants to be is the problem the professional movie reviewers seem to have with it.

Another interesting parallel I picked up after seeing the movie:
Prince is almost the same size as a full-grown emperor penguin.

Well so far it's been the No. 1 movie in the country since it came out, so who do you think folks will listen to?

And I guarandamntee at least half of those folks are kicking themselves for paying to see it.

My post wasn't a challenge, honey -- it was an opinion. Look it up if you're unsure of the difference...

i just saw Happy Feet with my niece this past Saturday, we both liked.
I have a funny story to tell, my niece is eight you know athow kids think of other kids of the opposite sex at that age. Early saturday we saw a when doves cry she said he was gross because he was naked and she started calling him the naked man. When the movie was over she was dancing and singing to the song of the heart. I asked her do you know who that is? She said who, and I said the man you call the naked man. A bunch of people had stopped and was watching her and started laughung at the shocked look on her face when she found out who it was.

I did it! I went to see Happy Feet, Wooo-Hooo! This movie is very uplifting. woot! I love its message: being different is a asset even if those who know you can't see it and feel threatened by it. Afterwards, I went to Borders and bought two copies of the soundtrack. I love Prince's "Song of the Heart."

What's your favorite part of Happy Feet? My favorite part is when Mumbles goes to the home of the little pinguins and realizes that he is not the only one who is different.

She started back singing the song. Song of the heart is her second favorite song behind do your chain hang low. She wants me to download the song for.

I thought that at first but...the songs played in the movie only get a few seconds of actual play....(except for kiss, that song plays the most prominent in the movie) where as the whole song gets played through the credits. shrug

I am disappointed at this too. People were leaving the theater as soon as the movie ended. Its a beautiful joyous song. It deserves a better place in the movie. bawl

So is Song of the Heart a new recording or something from the Vault? I wonder...
