One thing i have learned after seeing Prince 73 times and talking to his band members through the years at shows, you never know what he is going to do. Im sure everyone is anxious to hear sources and band members talk about Vegas being a warmup to a tour, but until you are actually seeing that show, dont take it too seriously, not that they are lieing its just that no one knows what Prince is doing. I remember one time back in June of 1998 talking to Morris Hayes for like 5-10 minutes at the Spy Bar in NYC, and he told me all these things about a film being finished and that they were releasing a Crystal Ball Video collection too and things like that and then in 2002 talking to Mike and Rhonda after a One Nite alone show in NYC and them telling me about coming back in the summer of that year to do more dates, etc etc. The point is, dont get too hyped up, I mean when i heard someone say he was warming up with the Vegas shows for a tour next year, i got anxious, but then i thought back to past events, and hearing how he's rolling out the hits again in Vegas for some reason makes me think that Vegas is just another gap of time where Prince is trying to figure out the next move, so in the spirit of Vegas, dont place your bets on a tour.

so true, and he can change and do things in a spur of the moment but I think that's how we like him.

It is an interesting thought. In preparation for the One Nite Alone tour Prince has the celebration and you can easily see that the songs played duing the week long event were taken on tour. So perhaps Vegas will give him the opportunity to "break in" the new band cause those guys needs to be well practised to be up to Prince's standards.
