Prince is MY FAV ARTIST EVER! I LIKE THE MUSIC ON THIS ALBUM! I'm only bothered about albums which actually have great music otherwise why would i care about the sound?

I LOVE MUSICOLOGY as well but the mastering IS LETTING PRINCE'S MUSICIANSHIP AND ART DOWN!

Did you notice the new tracks on CB sound less loud than TGE even though they were recorded later on? That's becuase they weren't pushed by a large record company who made someone master them as loud as possible.

Listen to Come; the mastering and mixing are excellent compared to 3121 and if you want it louder just turn it up without any distortion.

I have seen many stupid threads on here(does prince like anal) and those people didn't receive any criticism; i have a valid point which is correct becuase everybody can check themselves using technology and see the errors.

It is a general point but i don't care about the garbage being released in today's charts apart from a couple of exceptions who just happen to have terrible sounding but EXCELLENTLY COMPOSED music(prince, the chili peppers, canibus).

I don't quite get why you think Prince doesn't have any say in how his music is mastered, though. Maybe he doesn't do it himself, but he must approve of it.

Also, I don't feel like 3121 or Musicology fall into the same mastering traps most new music does. In fact, I feel the opposite, like they could use a bit more sparkle (Incense & Candles excepted) & oomph; Something The Gold Experience has (too much of it, to a few people)

Though I started a thread similar to this about A Million Days & the other rock tunes (Musicology & ICP&P sound great to me) on Musicology being noisy & distorted. It's something I've noticed since So Far, So Pleased

Mikek1, I felt bad last time I posted a response to your thread on the technical flaws of TGE, But seriously do you feel there is a group of people on this site that are feeling your pain and they just love responding to your observations that certain aspects of the recording process is poor? Seriously as a newbie here I get the obvious impression that people don't appreciate what you have to say. Am I way off? I don't find the posts shocking I find them redundant,am I missing something?

He should release a remix of the whole CD

What? I listened to it literally 27/7 when I 1st got it. It was my thang in the music world. Now, I listened to it now and then. But, I still love it. The album is good overall. I don't get how you can't at least listen to it.

i love this album, almost as good as THe GOLD experience.

3121,Black Sweat,Incense and Candles,Fury,The Word,Get on the Boat, i almost love every track if it wasnt for "Satisfied".
