maybe thats why prince music for the first time sounds like prince is derivate of prince.

i mean he used every prince trick the same way modern acts use when they want to create prince style music.

don´t get me wrong i like the album. in fact, i think it´s heaps
better as an album than musicology is.

but it still sound kinda weird, it´s got a bit of everything in
it, like all prince albums, but this one sounds like it´s a bag
full of songs he wrote with other people in mind, kinda like his
demos from the old days that he would submit to other artists.

there´s these beyonce songs like incense and candles and then
there´s this max martin-britney type song with love etc etc.

fcuz all of them over 80% prince overtones and all but still,
the album sounds kinda like sideprojects thrown together.

in a good way.
