The club gigs with Tamar did well, but the May shows in Vegas didn't sell out. Ticket prices probably had a lot to do with that.

Wonder if we'll get any reliable attendance figures for these shows at the Rio? I won't be able to fly over and see for myself. The best indicator will be how long the club keeps operating, not how many people show up for the grand opening.

I think he would do okay if he did another Musicology-like tour of the U.S. But I'm not sure he has the same drawing power there as in 2004. JMHO.

As far as the Rio, every new business venture is a risk. Prince has a vision and the only thing he can do is go forward and see what happens. I am quite sure the haters are on the edge of their seats waiting for Prince to fail.

But they are only a slice of the population. There are a lot of other people than teens here that love his music and would love to see him live. He still has a large fan base in this country. And a lot of people from Europe actually come to the UK to see him here too, so what you're saying is not entirely accurate.

Prince isn't only loved in the US y'know.
