I remember finding out they were a couple reading an article about it in Jane magazine and thinking about what a cool couple they made but also unlikely in some way. In the article Dave said he was so enchanted by Carmen's eyes that he bought her a ton of sunglasses so not to risk any other man having the reaction of sheer helplessness to her that he did when he first looked deep into her eyes.
