I have three.
1)When he plays Purple Rain on the piano after his dad shot himself, then the scene cuts to the dressing before the performance with the music still playing. 2)The Take Me With U scene and the conversation Prince and Apples have at Lake Minnetonka. 3)The Beautiful Ones.

I like the scene between Prince and Jill Jones when she tells him that Lisa & Wendy made a song and gives him the tape, and he asks her if she liked it and Jill be looking good when she says yes.
I also like the part when P comes to rehearsal and Lisa & Wendy are playing Purple Rain and Wendy stops when she sees Prince, then starts playing Let's Go Crazy on the guitar. Then Lisa plays the Dearly Beloved part and says "But I'm here to tell ya,there's something else...our music!". Purple Rain is a classic.

*the part when he "trips" in the room to stop his parents from fighting
*when he says "motherfucker", when the audience felt he shoulda said "muthafucka"...with a little negroid tone *the stupid conversation between him and Apollonia regarding the stupid thing on her boot *any scene with Apollonia because it makes you wish Vanity was in the movie

When Apollonia and Morris are walking down the street after Apollonia 6 had their opening night. And Apollonia is drunk and gets scared when she hears the motercycle but doesn't see it. And then Prince rides up and Morris falls, and then Prince tells Appolonia to "Get on!". Then he drives off with her.
I guess I like that part okay. ~~~~~~~~~~~

Love that shot. That is a GREAT moment. Speaking of "shots" though, the camera operator was bugged that day. If you really look @ that dolly down the hall/pan to P @ the piano, it's sloppy as hell! Very jerky, distracting once you notice it... I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it

I also like the part where Francis L is playing "Father's Song" and the Kid walks in and says "I thought you didn't play anymore". But I don't like the way Francis L talks back to the Kid.
I was really disappointed that they never released a recording of that song. It's really beautiful. ~~~~~~~~~~~

Y'all are going to laugh, but my favorite part of the Purple Rain is when Prince is backstage, and BillySparxx throws the door open, walks into the room and says, "What the fuck's wrong with U Kid?!", to which Prince replies, "I ain't got time 4 your bullshit Billy, whaddya want?" I don't know, for some reason that scene has always been my favorite part of the movie - lol!!
My second favorite scene of Purple Rain is the password scene between Morris and Jerome - cracks me up every time! Reading the responses on this thread makes me want to go pop Purple Rain in the VCR to watch it right now! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The whole movie is the bomb.
If you were not there to experence that whole scene you missed something special. People, the whole theater stood and cried during the song Purple Rain waving their arms like the people in the movie. I have NEVER experenced anything like that before or since August 1984.

I did the same thing (waving my arms) the first time, and I think even the second time I saw the movie!!! I love this movie! [This message was edited Sun Aug 25 19:43:35 PDT 2002 by Starmist7]

I have NEVER experenced anything like that before or since August 1984. Wow, cool! People didn't do that in the city I live in, but man, I would have loved to have been in a movie theatre with a bunch of people waving their arms and digging the movie like I did. lol -- I remember the second time I went to see Purple Rain. I was seated next to a young girl who was really digging the music, dancing in her seat and singing along to every song in the movie. lol -- the guy who was sitting directly in front of her got mad, turned around and told her to stop singing -- rofl!!! The girl didn't mean any harm by it, she was just digging the movie and having fun. Makes me smile when I think back and remember it. I wonder if she is still a Prince fan? RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This movie is my baby sweetheart Ok the best parts are the Password with Morris and Jerome, The opening credit, talking with the MONKEY doll and every thing about the dressing room. I love that room so much The movie would've been betta if Jill was the leading actress instead of apple. She can cry and she's cute as hell!

The "what's the password" scene with Morris and Jerome.
The "let's have some asses wigglin, I want some perfection!" scene with Morris and Jerome and the girls. The bit where Prince trashes his house with a baseball bat (it just looks like so much fun) The performances of Computer Blue and Darling Nikki. The Purple Rain guitar solo, and the bit where he kisses Wendy on the cheek and she glares at him as if to say "get your dirty nasty XY chromosomes AWAY from me!"
