I was sitting last night with my friends discussing the hairstyles of our favorite stars and my friend Dion brought it to my attention that he noticed that Prince wore his hair long about every ten years. And the more I thought about it, I realized my friend was right.

Here's proof:


Prince, 1979 (direct your attention AWAY from the shorts!)

Do you think in 2009 he'll be sporting a long 'do again? (Post pics if you like!)

hahahaha! I was thinking the EXACT some thing! You read my mind! I was going to start a thread predicting long hair in 2009. I really really REALLY hope it happens! (Whether it's all his own hair or not, I don't care!)

I'd love 2 c him with long hair again-so gorgeous and sexy!

I'm really kind of hoping for a return to highlights in his hair. I really really dug him when he had those reddish brown highlights. (Maybe a return to his natural color!)

I liked that psuedo-fro he was rockin' for a while back in '04.

oooooh! I love seeing pics of him during the Batman era because he really has this mysterious look about him back then. Actually there are not that many pics of him in '89 so I guess I love finding candid pics of him around this era because they do seem so scarce. Plus this was when he was dating Kim Basinger and I LOVE her..so I like to see how he looked back then when he was hanging with her.

And about the long hair... I'll definitely be looking forward to that phase when it happens again! Although... I'd pretty much tap that no matter what his hair looked like! As long as it's not that fro... not a big fan of that one.
