Who Is Andre Crabtree the III? In the openingseque of Lovesexy, among the many voices, one says "My name is Andre Crabtree the III. I got more holes than a golf course." On a later release of Joy in Repetition, it opens the record, right before "Talking to no one in particular..." Whos this Crabtree dude or is it no one in particular?  | |

if u listen closely its the same back ground "party" noise as the love sexy album, prince seems 2 use the same stuff more than 1s if u got a gud ear u can go thru all the albums and match em up.
another eg is the guitar solo on, i think its "private joy" is the same as "orgasm" on the come album. "OOOH I can't hold it, OOOH it's gettin all ova me!" | |

The "Party Segue" was originally going to be on prince's 1986 "Crystal Ball" album. on side 3, i believe, It began with "The Ball" and then the "Party Segue" segued into "Joy In repetition". when crystal ball was reduced to "Sign O The Times" those 2 songs were one of the seven or so songs that got cut off. "The Ball" was reworked with new lyrics and became "I No" on Lovesexy. he used the "Party Segue" here to segue into "Alphabet St." then, in 1990, Grafitti Bridge was released and "Joy In Repetition" was added. the "Party Segue" was used to segue "We Can Funk" and "Joy In Repetition".

When did he say Prince Poindexter III? I was at a party once he hosted and neighbors called the police re: loud music. So he was introducing the band and then he said "and me? I'm Dexter Poindexter III." Never heard him say Prince Poindexter though. There was also a recurring character on Pee Wees playhouse named somebody Crabtree.
