all I know about his up-bringing is what he says in Papa. I saw him live in NYC during the time when the Come album came out and he performed that song. In it he talks about abuse in general as I am sure you know. Who know whats for drama sake or whats for real.

That's sad-let's hope that this is not true.

I read that story in an old interview Prince gave in some magazine, maybe Right On! or one of those type magazines. He did say that his stepfather locked him up in his room for weeks and the only other thing in there was the piano, so he stayed in there and just played and played the piano. (Maybe it was during the summer.) I remember him also saying as punishment his stepfather would make him pick the dandelions in the back yard, then the next day there would be more and he'd have to pick those. No wonder he and his sister had so many problems, if things happened to him, maybe they happened to his natural sister, Tyka, too, perhaps that explains why she has the drug and alcohol problems.

I read he abused him, but it I never knew how?

yes prince was abused as a child. Even opra asked him about it; he said about his father's abuse 'he had his moments'.

Most celebs who were abused, sexually or physicallyn are fucked up in the head like prince.
