Honestly?

Especially in concert I find him a bit preachy and he does seem to talk down to people (if they don't share his opinions or philosophies) through a lot of his work these days. Am i alone in this opinion?

Kind of bugs me, do we really need education from someone who is only a musician/performer when all is said and done?

It's not only Prince that is guilty of this. i love him to pieces, but he surely needs to realise the majority of fans are just here for the music.

So what if we like chicken, drinking or the occasional smoke?

He doesnt come across as miserable to me. And fo' damn sure not annoying
We do need education from some people some time. Whether musician or not. He is still a person. And we can all learn from one another

he was preachy for like 30 seconds in Vegas earlier this summer....talking about Jehovah, The Devil, Sin City.....etc. which gave me the idea that he might be coming here to save us sinners or something....on a mission perhaps?
but it was only like 30 seconds and the rest of the show was awesome

The miserable annoying ones are those that can't show the man who has given so much of himself to us through his incredible music, just a little bit of compassion and tolerance because they're too narrow-minded, short-sighted and selfish to see past their own insecurities.

Prince is a miserable prick, even more so these days.

i think this thread is miserable.

Prince has always been preachy, just not always preachy about the same things. He seems to change his mind a lot, and when he does he gets stuck on the idea like he's found the Holy Grail...until the next idea strikes his fancy, anyway.

I don't pay it a whole lot of attention, mostly.
