Did you ever wonder why Batdance wasnt included on The Hits 3 cd set? I mean Batdance was a hit and stayed at number one for either 3 or 4 weeks. The Batman Album sold a ton of copies, and the single was played out on the radio for weeks on end. I would think that Batdance should have been included on the set way before Adore, Delerious, or ICNTTPOYM. Rgaurdless of if you like the song or not (which most people dont); it still deserves to be on the greatest hit set. FB.

but then, none of the Batman tracks are on there.

It's because they don't consider non-artist movie soundtracks as albums. Like you won't find any tracks from the Dancer In The Dark soundtrack on Bjork's Greatest Hits. Same thing.

One possible reason for the exclusion is that Prince owns the masters to the "Batman" soundtrack and this was a Warners project put together because he signed the big contract.

The more likely scenerio is the length of the song.

Its not included in The Best of Prince released last summer either. And the song selection on that cd is really lopsided. Parade gets one song while Diamonds & Pearls gets four songs.
