Celebration-ICNTTPOYM--what in thee f*ck?!! All the talk of Whole Lotta Love and Something In The Water is cool, and the way he reworked Something In The H2O was somewhat aight, like how he jazzed up Dot Parker (happy and sad about it at the same time) but the real surprise is ICNTTPOYM. Shit. This is a trip. He made the instrumentation dour and mournful, like the lyrics. He flipped it back from the happy instrumentation hahahaha. This is the real worth it to see it live song. Oh what a night it must have been. Destiny fucked me over with no towel to clean up with and no kiss. "Climb in my fur."

Thats the shit.People who went to the Celebration must have been feelin high all fucking week. When I heard Coni had sung I was like "oh gawd" but it seems to have been a cool experience with Prince and the audience into it. Fuck..how cool is that. To be booted and sing with Prince for a whole song? Thanks a lot Destiny...big ass... "Climb in my fur."

No doubt. That night was full of surprise twists and turns... like when he freeked "Fallin" in the middle of The Question of U and a bluesed out The One... when he started playing ICNTTPOYM no one knew what it was... and then he threw in Aint No Sunshine. It was just amazing! "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

My face would be all black and blue from the slaps and punches [This message was edited Wed Aug 21 9:06:43 PDT 2002 by rdhull] "Climb in my fur."

I was JUST about to post something similar to this, because this version is the SHIT!!! It was awesome being there hearing, believe you me! Very slow, methodical, and mystical! Hearing this Celly over again made me really see the highlights like this one, All The Critics Love U In NY, Joy In Repetition (15 minutes of bliss), Something in The Water, Empty Room, and probably something else I'm missing!! I'm hoping TB's set of this is a little better sounding and more complete than Prem's!!

"like how he jazzed up Dot Parker (happy and sad about it at the same time) " He's really been doing Doroty "Jazzed" up since '87. He's always tacked Madhouse onto it after "Dorothy Parker was cool" line. It was actually a little cooler with the original Madhouse folks playin' on it. cracknbush

Yeah I know he jazzed it up since ( The Sign etc), I was just saying he did Something in the H2O jazz style live like he does jazzy Dot Parker. The jazz style fits DP better than Something In The Water imho though. You are correct everyone is listening to the boot. Suomynona (freemyheart.com) has been posting a couple of tracks each day for the last week, but I'm not sure if he posted ICNTTPOYM.

LOL! I remember you, LCD, cuz I was in BWI with ya waiting for the plane that first day (the one that was delayed for 2 freakin' hours)! How are ya?
