3121 is a gem. I love that album. I was just listening to it last week and will be listening to it for many years to come. What I am starting to learn about the org is that many folks here have a hard time accepting it when Prince embraces his soulful, R&B side. It's a shame that your myopic view of probably the most diverse artist of all time limits your ability to receive the whole of his art. As for me...I am just happy to experience the amazing musical journey better known as Prince!

I don't understand why people would feel the need to critize an artists work with such simplistic words such as shit and crap. There definitely seems to be a group of people are this site that think that people who consistently make postive comments are a group who are fanatics that are incapable of being critical of this man's work. That simply is just not true, this group in my opinion tends to be appreciative of the new direction that this artist has decided to take at this point in their career. To put it down as crap and turd, etc... merely demonstrates a genuine lack of depth and ability to let others be. In fact it's rather selfish to be so dismissive of an artist's wants and needs, I personally like the P of old but I can relax and let the man be without spewing out terms of distaste. I can think of a million things that make me frown but only a few that have made me smile, P's music is one of them. A little gratitude won't hurt.
