conditioner is a must have if you have long hair.

LOL.
that's what i do.
i buy 69 cents shampoo.
it worked in the past but now it isn't as effective. my hair isn't really growing and it always seems greasy.

LOL whoa! can't say I'd sink as low as .69 cents redface but..1.99 or maybe .99 but that's as low as I go smile but I can't say I've ever had a problem with greasy hair...I'd have to go with out washing it for like 3 days or more b4 that would happen. I think thin hair tends to grease up (eww..) I should say get greasy quickly, my hairs not real thick but it sho ain't thin. smile and by the looks o my pic..I need a trimm! eek!
oh yeah...BTW I seem to have to rotate the brands I use anyway...no matter what the brand if I use it for a long time it doesn't seem to work as good any more...so I switch off.
(I know..who cares right?)

ohmigosh, u are pretty! nice hair-style! i used to have that hairstyle ( too bad for my bad teeth and my nose).

my greasy hair starts a few hours after my head-wash. i have to wash it daily since it begins to smellS(according to others) like STRONG PERFUME,CHINESE VEGETABLES,PIZZA,CURRY,SHIT.

redface gee thanx suby! but don't be so hard on yourself...geesh! I'm hoping you're exagerating about your hair's scent...(eeek!) especially if that's what others tell you...maybe they are just being mean...?? I hope.
Maybe you should try a specialized shampoo for thin hair or something...
thanx to you too sag smile redface
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

What kind of hair do you have?

Always use conditioner, It will improve the condiiton of your hair. smile

i use VO5. thank for the tip~smile

If you have color in your hair, you need to take extra care of it! just use shampoo and conditioner for colored hair! This helps to retain the color so It doesn't fade.

Oprah and Prince are like the only two ethnic folks with *really* good hair...and Oprah's is questionable at times... ;0)*

Oprah's hair is as fake as Dr. Phil...

Sorry, friend. met her at a dinner for the urban league (she was the keynote speaker). her (straight) hair is definitely her own; fried, died, and growing right out of her head. I have seen her go with a curly "look" when she's on down time (usually when she 's running around miami beach, fl) and i can't be sure about that one...but anyway, when someone can afford to have a hairdresser on call to bust out the locks every day- I suppose their hair WOULD look as good as hers! Makes me have times when I wish I had a "head beautician" myself to help me keep my own hair together! in the meantime, I just use shampoo and conditioners by kms and philosophy, and "control" products
(like hair sheen, hair spray, or styling gels) from ethnic
companies like soft&beautiful, tcb, african pride, etc. (because they have those "reversion-resistant" agents)...

Since this is a thinly veiled plea for free hair tips may I suggest...

If you use the same stuff on your hair and it is not a clean rinse variety you will eventually have a build up of hair product residue. Symptoms of this is hair that is "greasy" very soon after washing.

Get a clarify-ing shampoo and conditioner to rinse out the residue. It will take several days of use before it makes a difference.

Ice...no wonder you now have short hair! wink

Yes. Buy a clarifying/clean shampoo. I've used both Pantene's and Neutrogena's versions. I like Neutrogena's better, myself...

If you want purty hair, you've got to fork over some extra bucks - don't skimp on it.

I also switch shampoos everyday for variety.

(Can you tell I'm bored?)

I have really wanted to know what that certain eyeshadow was he wore years ago...could never find out...
