Is It Really Retired? I heard in an interview a few years ago that Prince said after the millenium passed he wasn't going to sing "1999" any more. Is that true? Has he really retired that song? I really liked "1999". I love a Man who:

That song was as tired as a sled dog.
Back in 1999, it was voted the best dance song of all time by our local radio station. Funny, I always had a hard time dancing to it. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

Reports are that the song was spotted lounging in a private box at the racetracks in southern Florida.
