Just wondering here on P.org alone...For NPGMC members, how many are satisfied with NPGMC and how many are not? I know Prince private life is none of our business but I think he owes us what he promises and his word. I mean he is 44 , somethings should have changed by now...I am a supporter of NPGMC myself and hope they stay around for a while...I just wish NPG/Prince knew this. IMHO,I believe we are the ones HELPING to keep NPG/Prince above water. What changes do you think could help too keep NPGMC going? Besides better communication, which I think when we did sign up for membership they did state that there were no middle men...just NPGMC and us members. I may be wrong.

You know, memberships are annual.

So a member can't really fully judge about it after the year is over.

however ... it is understandable that a member wants important information to be provided clearly and in time, so s/he can know what to expect.

In that case I think prince appears to want something else, since clear messages about what to expect are not coming yet in droves.

Alltho' he did confirm the European tour... at last...

there's a thread on this topic in the NPGMC discussion forum where we posted our specific suggestions. ben might move this thread over there eventually

i'm a member and i think the club is worth supporting. it's not just for prince's music, it's also for the notion of intellectual freedom he represents. he sets a good example for artists worldwide, and he's genius enough to carry it off

but, the website/club could be SO cool yet isn't. seems like our hero has lost interest in developing his website/marketing concept any further
he's probably got a lot on his plate right now. been working hard this year.
maybe he needs to delegate

I hate the fact that he is doing a European tour!

I wrote a letter to Prince begging him not to go over there, but I don't think he listened.

I'm also starting a petition to have the Europeans charged double for membership!

I am currently deeply, thoroughly, perhaps irrevocably UNsatisfied with NPGMC. It's going to take the fanciest footwork of his career for Prince to wring another hundred bucks out of me next year, and I'm sure I'm far from alone in feeling this way.

I think this may be his LAST YEAR of the club.I think he has had enough of it.The gloss is gone and it is probably starting to become WORK to him.

Satisfied as long as I get the rest of the cds coming to me and they are not a bunch of remixes.

As far as the website goes, it could be better. But why bother? If prince made the site interactive the same knuckleheads who make this site an embarassment would do the same there.

Satisfied ... so far.I think it's too early to reach a verdict on this years edition as we're only half way through (as of yesterday).I definitely enjoyed the first year more tho.I was unable to take advantage of any of the concert perks this year so I'm just in it for the new music.I definitely would rather have the monthly downloads and ahdioshows than the 4 CD plan.But its easy to say that at this point .I may feel differently when the year is complete.

I liked the concept of last years NPGMC with the Ahdio show, the video`s, and especially the unreleased (high quality audio) grooves. But this year I have been really disappointed with what NPGMC had to offer. I was on assignment during the celebration, I had ankle surgery the week that Prince had his concert in AZ, and I found the ONA CD very subpar to say the least. Thus I personally feel that this years NPGMC is lacking to say the least. Hopefully next years is going to be better.

The site is stagnant and basically pointless. He might as well just called it a prepurchase of his next 4 CDs and sold it through 1800newjunk. A "music club" implies something more engaging.

Theres a couple wallpapers, like 4 worthless "exclusive" items, and whats left of the other retail stuff is about as exciting as a clearance rack at Big Lots. And that "stunning" Silicon mp3. whoo hoo!

The free "Love4OneAnother" site was more exciting than this.

I guess thats why Prince wants your money upfront. So he won't have to do "The Work" and woo us with something worthwhile first.
